hey guys, ive been looking around for a logger for my 98GST, but I don't have a palm pilot, so i would rather use an old laptop I have. Is it possible to just use the serial connector cable into a laptop, then get some sort of software to run the Palm's program on my laptop?

If this is confusing I apologize, i have a vague idea of how this would work, but I'm definetly not a computer guy, so this probably isn't even possible...

I was thinking of trying this also. hook logger cable into car and laptop, then run emulator and dsmlogger palm software in the emulator. just gotta make sure the emulator has capabilities to use the serial ports.

im just getting a palm, you can grab an m100 for like 20 bucks. ahaha.
