Anyone have any input on what to paint the valve cover with one of the aluminium spark plug covers with the dsm logo etched in? Got it when I purchased the car and would like to use it.

I was thinking red with black on the plug wells so it shows the logo. I would think you need some contrast to show off the logo.

I'm a paint advocate. I've seen so many engines with damage from blast media, or powder overspray. I chemically strip mine, degrease them in a parts washer, clean them with acetone, and paint them with high temp engine paint.

I like the black. I was considering doing black with red lettering and painting the exhaust heat shield black also, nice clean look. Thought it might be nice to add some color though.

Ive painted a couple valve covers in the past and have had good luck with it. I dont see a problem with it.
