I'm tackleing the rust thats right in the center of my door soon so I need some info on painting a door. What steps would I take after the rust spot is filled, sanded, back-sanded?

This is what I'm thinking, but keep in mind I am in NO way a painter LOL.
- Degrease/clean
- Primer the spot (2 or 3 coats?)
- Sand? What grit?
- Clean again
- Base color coat the spot (# of coats?)
- Wet sand over-spray?
- Clear coat whole door?

LOL I'm sure you can tell that I'm no pro at this, so just fill me in on what I'm doing wrong (maybe everything:ohdamn:)
Just tell me the steps in which I need to do this, and what else I need, what grits of sandpaper, how many coats. Thanks in advance.

Nah man, it's right through. Gonna have to cut it and weld in a new piece.. But I got that part covered.
I might even get another door, depending on how bad it is under the side molding, and what I can find at the junkyard. But either way it's gonna need paint.
