I’m glad I ran into this thread, I’m actually painting my car this weekend, well about 90% of it. I will definitely fill everyone in on my setup/ progress and how it turned out.

to say wetting the floor is bad is just wrong.

heres why-

these products have a humidity threshold that should not be exceeded for best results.

Have you been a professional painter? Are you a chemist at a large paint manufacturer?

My words come from the owner of the paint company that I distribute, he is also the chemist, and has been at several others before starting his own company.

These words are also backed by many industry professionals.

Just saw this now- sorry man, never been good at staying in on threads.......... No, I am not a chemist..........just another jerk with lots of experiance.

Yes, I am a professional painter...........more like a professional phuckup.......... but yeah................. I know this stuff way better than I wish I did.

Ive been doing it for about 18 years total. Ive bounced back and forth between the frame machine and the booth depending on what I can stand at the given time.

If you dont see what I am saying about the threshold, then I am afraid we are beyond reason here.

The absolute hardest part about painting is the prep process. Any idiot can use a spray gun, but getting the car ready to be painted is not always a walk in the park. Improper prep can ruin a very expensive paint job.

To be more clear: to simply prep a car is not hard, but to get it near perfect for a quality job is hard.
