was thinking of painting my car matte black with a gloss metal flake gold roof and rims painted to match with polished aluminum lip, thoughts? or anyoone ever seen anything like this and how did it look?

Do you mean flat black with gloss flake in it or flat black with gold top with flake in the gold?

Feels like with flat bottom and shiny metallic top the car would look like someone started painting it and ran out of gold. IMO it would look better if it was either all flat, or all shiny, or both but with more similar colors.

similar to the picture except the roof would be gold with metallic flake and the body flat, and the rims paint matched to the roof

Cool sounding idea man, I hope you do it. The only thing I would consider is that a matte clearcoat requires just a bit more care and maintenance than a normal glossy clearcoat to keep it looking great for years to come. Check this out from PPG:

General Care and Maintenance of Matte Finishes
The following guidance on Care and Cleaning of matte finish vehicles is aimed at the car owner, and applies to both the OE and the repair finish. Particular care must be taken with matte finishes to maintain an original even matte effect. Guidance for the car owner on maintaining the even matte effect over time Matte/Low gloss finishes can be relatively easily marked with general handling and day to day use (door/hood/deck lid opening, shoe scuffing on entry or exit of vehicle etc.).

Care should be taken with these operations because marking or changing of the matte effect could result. Care should be taken to avoid spillage of fuel onto the matte/low gloss finishes. Fuel spills should be removed as soon as possible using the washing guidelines below, to avoid permanent damage or altering of the low gloss effect.

1. In order to keep the matte surface effect, the use of paint cleaner, abrasives or polishes and wax polishes must be avoided. The vehicle must not be polished.
2. Polishing will lead to a higher, uneven gloss effect.
3. Cleaning with unsuitable materials could alter the matte effect (generally increasing gloss).
4. Automated car washing should be avoided. The preferred car washing method is by hand with a soft sponge, mild soap and lots of water. Frequent car washing over a period of time could lead to increased and inconsistent gloss levels across a car panel. Washing under direct sunlight should also be avoided.
5. Insects and bird droppings should be removed immediately. These residues should be soaked in water to soften and/or removed carefully with a high pressure cleaning equipment. In the case of strongly adhered residues, a spray on insect remover should be used prior to washing.
6. Whenever using any type of cleaning fluids with soft sponges or cloths, it is essential not to apply pressure or rub the matte finish. A gentle wipe/spray on, wipe off technique should be used. Applying pressure will alter the matte effect and result in an uneven appearance.

i wouldn't do custom colors, if something gets nicked you have to go back to the exact same guy and hope he remembers how he made your paint . but it does sound pretty nice, all depends on how much you plan on driving it and etc

just the roof would be a custom color and i don't think that would get chipped alot anyway and i have opted to go with glossy black bottom with the gold roof, i feel since i daily it in the summer the matte would just be to much for me to keep up on and not have it looking bad, im just waiting till i have proper funds to get a real paint job

if something gets nicked you have to go back to the exact same guy and hope he remembers how he made your paint .

A good paint guy will make a sticker with new paint codes and stick it next to factory paint code sticker. Now onto finding a good responsible paint person

That sounds like a neat idea! I like the idea of keeping with a two-tone scheme like the 1g's and talons had.
