I am moving to Jonestown PA, going to be registering my car soon. I need help with the inspection, no way my car can pass since it has no airbags/ plus other minor thing that will cause it to fail. Was wondering if anyone knew a hookup, just pm me.

i dunno anyone that will let you pass...you will have a problem with that though, pa sucks for regulations on cars...technically no susp mods, you have to have a cat and muffler (unless you live in butler...no emmisions...im moving there soon hopefully)...sorry but you have any other questions in case you dont get a hook up ill help you anywya i can.

Just find some really shady garage and see if they will sell you Inspection stickers. Where im from they usually cost about $80-100 for the pair, or about the same as a real inspection.

I know a few places near me. I've had cars pass with cracked windshields and straight downpipes.

$80-$100 for a real inspection? Damn, where do you go? When I get it it's $20, I walk in say I need a sticker, I bs with the guy, I walk out. And that's how much he charges for the real thing, too. Guess I'm just lucky.

I think it depends on where you take it.

I didnt know we weren't allowed to not have suspension mods? My other car has coilovers, my mustang was lowered, and none of the garages in the area ever turned me away for that.

Emissions is another story
I got my car in Jerz and the previous owner took out all emissions and vac lines. I'm not about to go pay for used emissions things, so I left it at a garage that I trusted and he said he would try and hook it up, he didn't know about the wonderful world of DSMs :sneaky: He had the thing for a week before giving up,
It passed the sniffer test the way I had it setup, He tried to rig up some vac lines to 'look legal' and then it failed the sniffer. LOL. He got so frustrated he just let me have it pass. I told him i'd be back next year ROFL

Ask around for a nice small garage mechanic, they always seem to be the nicest to me.

suspension mods will pass PA inspection, don't know where you heard that one. We pass cars that have 3-4 inch drops and have to drive them up on peices of wood to even get the lift arms under them.

hey man! I passed w/o an airbag.. check my profile pics.. The steering wheel got replaced, and my SRS light has been on ever since... And I get no problems.. No B.S. with the guy either. Totally legit. passed twice so far. And I'm pretty sure that a downpipe will pass here to. I live in central PA *ie 5 miles from Harrisburg* though. Good luck :thumb:
