hi guys, i got this code the other night. it was completley random, the car still runs fine as always. what could of set this code? could it be a vacuum leak?

Diagnostic Trouble Codes

It's your MDP that sits on top of your intake manifold and monitors the air pressure. Check it to see if it's mounted good and maybe unplug it and plug it back in.

Mine is not hooked up because I have the Magnus so I throw a code too.

Yes your car will run fine.

or if you have a 6bolt, the 1g manifold has no place for the 2g sensor. you can buy an adapter from dsmparts.com if you wanna get rid of the CEL

i got a 7 bolt still. its just weird cause in the year that i've had it, it just did it this week twice. havent done any mods lately, at least not in the past 3 weeks.

Mine came on a few weeks ago, and I cleared it with the Pocketlogger. It came on again, so I took it off and cleaned the tip and the little hole. It didn't come on for awhile, but the other day it came back on. I'm eventually going to replace the MDP sensor.

Don't mean to bring a thread back from the dead, but only recent one I can relate to.

Will this cell make my car stay revved up when I get on it?

I replaced the throttle cable from the swivel to the throttle body already. Still happens until I press the gas again then it goes back to normal rev. LMK ###.

Ok, cleared the cel with my logger. Wires don't look corroded.

Since your here ^, you think you can help me with my stuck rev problem. Seems the car wants to take off on it's own when I get on it in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.

dang i thought that this would fix my car it runs fine for about 5 minutes then cuts sputters boosts like mad although the rpms dont move at all , and if i shut it off and restart it i can drive it for another 2-3 miles then same thing , also kinda rough idles when it does that. gets crappy . any ideas i have a rewired walbro 255 and it still makes the noise , im at a loss here

I've thrown this CEL 3 times already. I've cleared the code with an OBDII reader twice and it keeps coming back. I think I'll try to clean it and clear it again, I really need to get my car inspected and it won't pass with this stupid CEL code being thrown. Other than that, the car runs just fine, even with all the upgrades that I've done to it in the past few weeks. (MHI EVO III 16G, Walb 255 stock wiring, PR FMIC and SS o2 Recirc., flushed radiator and changed oil) I could have sworn that it was being thrown because I had a couple exhaust leaks and an intake leak, but those all have been fixed and I'm still throwing the CEL P1400 code. Ughh...

I'll try these tips out and reply with some feedback. I'll probably have to replace it. I'm gonna look for a used one... $95 is pretty steep for that POS sensor.

Update:

I just emailed Tom and he says that now that I have ECMLink V3, that I should just install that and uncheck the box for MDP sensor and turn the light off... then I'll pass emissions. I'll let you guys know what happens when I get it all in and running.
