HEY GUYZ, HERE'S MY PROBLEM. WHEN I FIRST START MY CAR, IT RUNS CRAPPY. IT WILL DROP DOWN A LOT AND SEEMS LIKE IT'S GOING TO DIE OUT. ONCE THE CAR WARMS UP, THEN IT SEEMS TO BE RUNNING FINE. OCCASIONALLY, I WILL GET A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AND WHEN I GO TO SCAN IT, IT SHOWS CODE P1400, WHICH STAND FOR MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR MALFUNCTION. THE OTHER PROBLEM I HAVE IS THAT IF I BOOST IT AND THEN COME TO A STOP, THE RPM WILL DROP DOWN REAL LOW FOR COUPLE SECONDS, AND THEN GOES BACK UP TO ITS NORMAL RPM. I REPLACED THE MAP SENSOR WITH ONE OF MY FRIEND'S AND IT WAS STILL DOING THE SAME THING. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE HAS EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM, AND IF YES, PLEASE HELP.

THANKS

What kind of Car do you have. That is needed

Here is what a have from a 97 Talon TSI AWD

Need more info just ask. Try a smoke machine on the intake to find if you have an intake leak, I had a small leak from the Map sensor i replaced the o-ring and/or (i dont remember) I added an o-ring where the MAP sensor sits and it seems to work fine.

This may sound fishy to a few people, but call autozone and have them look in their OBDII book to see what the usual fixes are for the P1400 code.
