Hey guys, I searched about this problem and only came with random different things and 90% of the time replacing the CAS worked, but that's not the case for me.

I drive a 98 GST, I recently replaced my valves(bent), headgasket, timing belt, etc. I got the car running and it has a misfire at idle,(it lopes) but it's not that noticeable at driving speed. The misfire is coming from cylinder 2 after figuring it out.

After a bunch of testing I finally got a code P0340 CAS circuit malfunction.

After replacing the CAS with a good one, there was no difference, it starts up fine for the most part.

My question is what is consisted in the CAS circuit? What else should i check? It's getting spark, fuel, and compression. My timing is dead on. The CAS and CPS are getting voltage but would a Crank Sensor having a bad ground cause a problem like this? Thanks in advance.

Have you verified that you aren't off a tooth on the timing belt swap?
