Hi got a problem with my 02 readings and was wondering if anyone had anything similar happen. My 02's when at idle are .04 but if i give it any gas at all it starts to work again. I've tried 2 other 02 sensors that came from my other dsm and one from a friends. Also i've tried swapping ecu's just in case but that didnt help any. Thanks

Then it may be that your O2 sensor is reaching its end of life and needs to be replaced.

I have read that regular O2 sensors (unlike wideband) are difficult to keep at operating temperature. Many times when idling the temperature drops enough to keep the O2 sensor from functioning. Try revving the car to 2000 RPMs and hold it steady for a while. If the O2 sensors continues working (cycling rapidly anywhere between .2 and .8 volts) then you are probably ok.

If you are using a pocketlogger or similar device to monitor you should see a pretty smooth signal wave as the O2 cycles back and forth.

*** edit: ggogle search found this page as well.

The sensor cycles fine if i give it any gas at all. It only happens when the car is at idle. Also i've tried a 02 sensor that came from my other talon that is working normal.

Sounds like you could be right. Up heres its around 23 or so. I just thought it was odd because i put the 02 sensor from my laser into my talon and the sensor cycles at idle but when i try any of my 02 sensors in the laser i get the .04 volts at idle. Thanks for you help this ones got me pretty confued.

Hi, My o2 reads fine at idle(cycles) & at full throttle, but when i am cruising & i let off the gas the volts drop to zero until i press the gas pedal or put it in neutral, it starts to cycle againWTF . Is that normal, The o2 sensor is brand new.

Thank you.
Sam.

Yes, it's normal. Coasting off gas there's no fuel being injected. Now back on topic. :thumb:

check to see if you have any type of exhaust leak where outside air could be getting to the sensor at idle making the car think you are running lean
