I have owned my 96 talon for about one and a half years and in that time i have almost died twice while driving it, and i am serious. The first time I was sitting at a red light viewing a log on my pocket logger, and hte light turned green. Since i wasn't paying attention I didn't see it turn green and i sat there for a second. Just as I began to let hte clutch out, a car goes sliding thourght hte intersection wiht it's tires locked up. If I hadn't been playing with my pocket logger, I would have gotten creamed at about 50 mph.
Second story happened tonight, I had a fuel pressure regulator put on and for some reason it came alittle loose and began to drip gas, so i tightened it up and took her out, after 5 minutes I smelled gas, so i pulled over. This is the good part, when i popped the hood there was gas spraying out of the 4 inch gap between the hood and hte front bumper, jus like a garden hose spraying. I swear on my life this is no exaggeration, i have witnesses. So i quick turn the car off and grab my fire extinguisher. Luckily there was no fire, but i had gas all over my arm and leg from the spray, and my entire engine bay was covered in gas. My red hott exhaust manifold had spots where gas hit it and burned up. If that gas would caught i woulda been one crospy dsm onwer. When i pulled away there was a HUGE gas spot in the parkin lot i pulled into. The whole car and me woulda been burnt to a crisp.
Hopefully this won't happen to anyone else, and if anyone else has a near death dsm experience, please tell. And I can say i own my pocket logger my life, and it's helps for tuning on the side v
