maitenance after 1.5 years of resting..

okay, here is the case..I just got my 98 gst running again after a year and a half sitting in the garage..I just didnt have time to fix it until now..i changed out the spark plugs..but i didnt change out the spark plug wires (which i remembered i just got replaced before my car broke down)..is it necessary that i change that as well?..i realize my car is still backfiring or misfiring on me..so im assuming that i do change that.. also..when im shifting through first and 2nd gear...i hear a clunking noise right below the drivers seat..is that coming from my exhaust (misfiring)?..Its been so long..i dont really know much about my car anymore..and what else do I need to do to get this car running normal again?..help is highly appreciated!

first thing i'd do is put in new gas and new oil - bet those rotors are nice and rusty

Replace all fluids that were in there brake raditor power steering ect... maybe the belts. just depends on what happend and why it broke down also

Inspect your ECU.

Put some seafoam in the gas, and run some thru your intkae.
