I went driving around with my g/f helping her find job applications, my fuel light was going on and off. All of a sudden cel came off it lost a lot of power never died gave it gas to get in parking lot, then cel went off and was fine. Went grabbed some more 93 and was fine. Earlier it seemed like it was bogging or missing. It was raining tonight also. Only thing i changed was put a 2g ported elbow on and switched to 93 from 91. So new plugs maybe? Accel 8mm wires.

Without knowing the code its next to impossible to guess. If it was a normal case the CEL should be saved even when it's not active and you can read it with a datalogger or by the old school method of metering the DLC connector output.

If there is no code it could be an ECU problem or a code than isn't retained. You may have to keep the logger or code reader attached until it happens again.

crap i didnt get a logger yet since my friend might be selling me his laptop, i guess i'lll just go buy one anyways thanks

you can always buy a cheap OBD2 reader from the parts store for like 20 bucks to read the code. i think walmart has a decent cheap one, plus you can bring it back with no questions asked once you're done.

An cheap OBD2 reader isn't going to be very useful in a 90 car.

A 12v LED or piezo buzzer from radio shack or an analog voltmeter is all you need on the first gen cars.
