got the lower i/c pipe fixed. used tyler's supra i/c elbow and metal reducer and can hold 20psi + with no leaks.
 
Anybody know what the hell is up with kcsr.org? It goes to a page that says " Your accound has been suspended" or something like that. Is that on everybody's or did my account actually get canceled for some reason?
 
just exceeded their bandwith, it'll be on before to long. ken's site is off too - kcpimp. so may even be a server problem. this happens from time to time with kcsr. find some other forums for a bit! after 15minutes or so, kcsr is borning anyway.

Yeah it is. After I get bored I just become a post whore and make worthless posts in everything I can find. I'm barley to level 3. I don't know how members with over 1,000 posts and more! even have a life.
 
Well everyone I start the rebuild on the Galant today or tommorow, whenever i feel like starting. I have $700 of belts, pulleys, pumps, gaskets, tensioners, and studs sittin in my garage ready to be installed. Im gonna go about it pretty slowly cause im waiting on money to buy my turbo set up if any of you wanna come by and see the insides of 6 bolt and i dunno, HELP :D :D Anyways ill be back in action in few weeks, can wait to roll around with you guys again especially with the twinie twin twins :thumb: Ill post updates on the rebuild

i've got alot of 1st gen parts if you need any. came from our 91 talon tsi part car. i've used all i need so just let me know if your missing anything and i'll see if i've got it.
 
hey tyler. i've been doing a ton of ####ing research on my timing dipping from 3000-4500rpm's and found out it is completly normal for 2g's to dip timing to around 10-12 deg when the turbo first starts to spool. i posted my latest log on the tuning forum and have had numerous responses all stating i look pretty much perfect and i'm actually rich from 5000-7200 rpm's (18 deg timing and .98 o2's.) i'm gonna lean it out to around -35 on my high's and pull for 18 deg timing and .94 o2's. we will see but i'm definetly not lean right now. i'm going to push it up to 20psi with the same settings and see if i'm still rich. if so -35 it is.

Hey actually im in need of the entire front engine brace and mount, the galant is missing it completely. The one that goes from the front of the block to the front cross member. Dumbasses didnt put it back when they changed the tranny out :thumbdown . I dont know if a T/E/L one will work tho.
 
i'll check to see if i got the engine brace and let you know. eprom ecu is only in a 95 i believe but i'll check on that to. I'm assuming your looking to go DSMLINK. Just an FYI, it's a pain in the ass to tune with (ask brent).
 
Im presuming you looked to see what car I have under the GSTnKC. I used to have a GST but totaled it and now I got a 92 TSI awd and need a new ecu some time in the near future. Im just to lazy to go change it.

So Im looking to get an Eprom ecu from a 1g awd
 
I do have the ecu. It's from a 1991 talon tsi awd. I'll be out of town this weekend but next week anytime or next weekend you can grab it from me. I don't know if you know tyler, brent, brandon, ect.. but there over here all the time and can pick it up for you or you can come by and pick it up. I can always bring it to walmart with me also. just let me know.
 
hey brian. i don't have the front engine brace. i've only got the head and intake manifold left which i'm currently working on the rebuild to do the head swap. anything else you might need just let me know.
 
How do you want for it and correct me if im wrong but arnt the 90-91 ecu's all eprom and then a few of the 92's are also.

Ill definitely be up there at planet sub.
 
there kind of a pain in the ass. might wanna change the waterpump too while your in there. i just paid my tech on the side to do it for $500. mitsubishi wanted $1200 to do it.
 
don't need $ for it, i'll just give it to you. i have no idea if it's eprom or not. i'm better with the 2g's.

ya plain on doing that... :thumb: also the bell houseing hose or something...but the belt looks fine..just looks a little loose...I'll jump on it some weeken when ppl are around and are willling to help..i've done plenty of t-belts..just not on a 4g63t motor..and some of yall well most of yall have that motor.
 
stuck at work bro. i'm leaving tomorrow for the lake but will be back sunday and probably down at KCIR for the import challange. i'm not gonna be running my gsx but will be down there to watch. screw paying $40 for entry fee, i'll pay $12 to get in and watch others #### there cars up.
 
thats cool. I probally wont make it up to the import challange due to money constraints but Im definitely gonna head up monday to the plaza to check out the cars on the players run. Anyone wanna meet up and cruize on down?


Did get some awsome looking pic of my car today up at stoll park. probally post them somewhere when I get bored tommorow.
