overboosting

hi i have a 95 gsx with a 16g turbo and im overboosing. checked my controller its fine. checked the flap its fine to. connected hose from mani straight to the actuator still overboosts. it hits 10psi then i hear the wastegate open and hits 22 pounds.. but it doesnt feel like its pulling like it should after the 10 pounds im guessing its my wastegate but wanna be sure .. thanks

You would know it if you were actually getting 22 psi to the motor. You are positive your controller is ok? There are only a few things that will cause crazy over boost, sounds like your wastegate to me. Have you done any exhaust work lately?

definately the waste gate when i had my old talon it did the same thing

yea tried my friends controller his works fine.. no havent touched my exhaust . and yea after 10 pounds i dont really feel it pulling like it should. so it must be my wastegate. do you guys know of were i can get an internal wategate for a 16g turbo. couldnt find nothing on ebay.

1. Fill out your profile, we have no idea what mods you have besides the ones you stated.
2. Your boost gauge says 22 psi? Do you have a logger of some sort?
3. I have a mhi 14b wastegate actuator, if that works on a 16g pm me
4. Have you done a boost leak test?

yea i have a boost gauge.. well ive tightened all the clamps no holes any where sounds good. if thats a boost leak test then yea i did .. would there be other ways to check?
