I get in get on her nad my boost guage just jumps to 20+lbs. OMG shes got the stock bcs hooked up too.

Now i'm getting this ticking from the engine. OMG (Oh God)

Here are the specs of my engine, I should be about to handle a lil over bosst with out hurting her.

# 6 bolt JDM 2.0 Liter DOHC Engine
# Ground crank .010"
# New oil pump
# Wiseco Forged Turbo Pistons .020"
# 9:1 compression
# Balance shaft eliminated
# JDM DSM Cyclone Head & Cams
# Big 16G
# 2g Throttlebody elbow
# Custom Ram-Air Intake
# Custom FMIC
# Walbro 190 lph Fuel Pump
# Ported 2g DSM Exhaust manifold
# Ported 2g O2 sensor Housing
# 3' Turbo Back Exhaust
# Dave Brode UICP
# Dejon Tool 2.25" J-pipe
# 2.5" Mandrel bent Intercooler piping
# ACT 2100 Clutch Kit

so what i'm asking is what is that ticking and why the hell wont it stop over boosting liek that?

You have been having nothing but problems with your car, I really suggest taking it easy until you tighten up the loose ends. Have you done a boost leak test like was suggested in one of your other threads in both forums? ;)

1. You need to be a lot more detail about the ticking noise from engine, where? when? all the time?...etc.

2. Bypass the bcs and connect the turbo outlet nipple directly to the actuator and test run. If boost holds steady at about 10psi then keep the bcs removed and get yourself a mbc and replace the vacuum lines around it. If problem persists I would guess a defective actuator that doesn't open, open enough or opens late.

Please do the leak test if you have not already done so, take care of your car. ;)

First I want to say thank you Oldman soooo much for your handy input. If ur ever in VA stop by and i'll buy you some beers :D

Yes I did a boost leak test. I found one around the j-pipe and one coming from behind the throttle body, around the spring (i hope that isnt too bad).

1. it just started and its pretty consisitent. I sounds like its coming from the lifters but its funny that i have never heard it before.

2. do u mean just hook the hose from the intake nipple to the wastegate nipple?

I took my actuator off and hit it with a lil carb and choke cleaner. how do i test thign thing to see if it is maybe rusted?

the nipple in question is one on the compressor housing of the turbo or j-pipe one that would give a boost reading.

You're welcome. No plans to visit VA anytime soon but you never know.

Any leak is too much leak, fix them. The one at TB is the TB shaft seals.

Where ever the pressure souce to the BCS is from.

Guys, there is no compressor housing nipple on a B16G and i'm pretty sure most j-pipes don't have one either unless you install one yourself.
I had to "T" the bov line to get my pressure source.

well my mechanic heard it run ( ididnt drive it he came to my house and we started it)

I put my head by the drivers wheel well and the knocking was lowd as hell. I'm told this means rod knock and that i now need a new engine. I will pull the pan and check for shavings soon.

Observe the crank pulley while someone start the car to see if it's wobbly during cranking and idling, a seperated crank pulley can sometimes make lifter like ticking sound.
