I recently ordered a Punishment Racing O2 housing with a Tial 38mm wastegate. I ordered it to have the 13.05 Psi springs inserted and I have installed it.:thumb: The first couple of drives I have been boosting to 17 and 18 PSI and never much over that. I have a 16g and i tapped into the Jpipe inorder to gain a connection for my wastegate air port. I checked the install instructions and I have it installed correctly. I emailed Tial and they recommended I take off my Boost controller (an EVC-s from HKS) and try to boost. Still same boost problem. Do I need to lower the spring by 5 or so PSI as a compensation? Or do i need to swap the Air source for the Air ports?WTF any help and pics are appreciated

Well first I would post a picture or explain how you have everything set up. If its hooked up correctly and you have no boost leaks then it may be inadequate flow to the wastegate. You may have to port your turbo housing a little to get more flow.

i had a similar problem and would get turbo compressor surge. i ajusted the blow off valve and that seemed to help with the problem.

Im unable to post one at this time but as soon as i can i will .. All i did was Tap a port on the J-pipe and ran a line from an air port on the side of my wastegate to the new port.

I have a Turbo XS BOV and i removed a washer and it didnt seem to affect it any

I contacted TiAL again and I recieved a phone call this time. The problem with the boost being too high was because I dont have a cat. The loss of the cat gave insufficient back pressure and the wastegate was releasing pressure too late at a higher PSI. I had to drop the springs down 3 psi to get my target boost.
