Front and rear engine mounts were bad and caused the driver side cv to pop out. Not realizing at first what had happened, I had my friend pull me home with a rope which resulted in the shaft housing getting bashed up destroying the seal and causing two small burrels(rough spots) in the outer ring of the housing where the seal fits. We're on our 3rd seal now. Each time installing the seals we would use a die grinder and try taking just a tad of the bump out and each time we would end up with a blister in the seal causing a small leak. Today I used the die grinder and eliminated that bump completely and installed the seal using a greenish colored lock tight type product which obviously resulted in that seal fitting just a tad to loosely (still needed to be tapped in) and obviously leaking worse than before.
My fellow dsmr's up here told me to cleanup all the oils and install the seal this time using JB Weld. I'm really not sure what product I could try that might be better than JB weld and I'm wondering if anyone has some better idea's with regard to any other products i could try; aside from dropping the trans. and changing the entire side of the housing?
