I just installed my new garrett setup and doing some tuning. This is a log in 3rd and 4th today and I just wanted to get some opinions and suggestions. This is @ 22psi with 93 octane.

I have an idea as to what Im going to do but I want to hear what everyone else has to say.

if that were a 2g i would say that your o2's are very lean. but judging by your timing, i'm guessing 1g's tune for lower o2 voltages then us 2g's do?

no one tunes for voltages, you tune by knock and timing. and 0 knock is good with 20 degrees of timing.

Yes looks good bro.

I would try advancing the timing about 3 more degrees, see if you get any more knock. If not, you could get some more power. If you knock, just put it back to where it was prior to doing so.

22psi, i bet that is fun as hell logging pulls!

yes i am aware of that, i should have clarified more. us 2g's tune for timing advance. by looking at the timing curve its possible to detect some knock. but we also have an 02 voltage range that is too rich or too lean. which i dont very much agree with unless your tuning with wideband. for example .92 v is supposed to be the sweet spot 02 voltage for 2g's. but i get knock ( judging by my timing curve and shitty timing advance). the o2 voltages i see are .96 and .98v. with 18-20 degrees timing advance by redline. just for the record i was not saying i tune for o2 voltages. cause if i did obide by the .92v, anything under is too lean, anything over is too rich. my car would be slow cause of too much knock retarding timing like a mofo.

Yea, Im at 5* base timing now, I was going to bump it up to 7 base and see how it does. I myself never look at o2 voltage for tuning, just timing and knock. I have leaned it up about 2-3% today from 5k up to 7 and it feels better and still no knock.

It is fun pulling logs with it but hard at the same time. I dont reach full boost untill about 5200 rpm and its hard to find a place to stretch it out with no traffic. I will be doing some tuning at the track next week and hopefully get to the low 12's-high11's.
