6523 17 .96V

Yeah, it looks lean up to 5000rpm. I would leave 5000-5500rpm alone; I like to be around .94 but that's just extra safety margin for me, and you know you can't really trust o2's anyway. And yes, lean out the .96's a little.

You also really need to get your sampling rate higher. You're going 300rpms before another sample. I don't quite know how many rpms I go, but I am getting 18samples per second on my pocketlogger with my 99gst.

did a lil more tuning, got two more good logs, 1st one is a third gear pull:

RPM TIMING O2BANK1
3421 27 .04V
3640 20 .86V
3996 8 .94V
4429 10 .92V
4824 11 .96V
5207 13 .96V
5582 15 .94V
5949 16 .94V
6292 17 .94V
6589 19 .94V
6867 20 .94V

NEXT IS A 4TH GEAR PULL, all i did was add a lil fuel around 4500 rpm's i think 1 or 2 % on the safc and from 4600 to 5,000 rpms i subtracted fuel again 1or 2% on the safc. and here is 4th gear pull.........

RPM TIMING O2BANK1
3371 27 .06V
3476 22 .78V
3644 8 .90V
3871 8 .90V
4085 9 .90V
4316 9 .92V
4515 9 .92V
4714 9 .94V
4910 10 .94V
5089 12 .92V
5269 12 .92V
5453 12 .92V
5644 14 .92V
5804 15 .92V <-- thats as far as i got as the highway around me sucks and people drive like a bunch of blind retards so it was kind of hard to make a full pull in 4th gear all the way to redline due to high speeds and assholes that cant drive in the way :thumb: again opinions please.

canadian tsi:

any idea why with the same settings on my safc, a third and fourth gear pull differ so much? it honestly looks like i was getting more samples per second on my fourth gear pull than the third gear pull, anywho im not hugely concerned with 4th gear being the way it is, as i only use a little of fourth gear in a 1/4 mile. i mean it really does not look too lean to me. who knows ill get a couple more logs and see what happens.

There is more load in 4th gear so the engine will run hotter. It's always like that ... 1st gear will gear VERY rich, 2nd a little rich, 3rd just right, and 4th a tad lean. The higher you go in gears the leaner it will get.

any idea how u change the samples per second? i have a palm m100, have no idea if i even can.

Changing samples per second is done in the pocketlogger program; it is independent of what palm your are using. There should be a byte timing menu in the pocketlogger program. Check out digital tuning's website to see if they have instructions for getting the best timing.

I like to get a baseline tune in 3rd gear ... then in 4th gear do the final tune :thumb:

I tune just for the top of 3rd. That's when 95% of my races are finished. I usually don't go into 4th. Also, I hope your not doing your 3rd gear and 4th gear pulls with other people around. Find a deserted portion of the highway, even it you have to drive out a ways to find it. Much safer.
