Opinions on Suspension Setup

Alright, So I have decided its time to lower my car. The car is used as a daily driver with an occasionaly track visit. I wanted to know what people thought about the Tokico HP Lowering kit. I have attached a link to it. If there is a better setup at a cheaper price then please give me some suggestions. Thank You!

The tokico HPs arnt adjustable. Try the ground control set up>>>http://www.dsmtuners.com/parts/prod...d=343&osCsid=394fb3bec3d82a4121bac3fe0f3c78ad, they are adj, and not too much more $$$, or go check out the tech guide and go into the 2g handling section and over to stage 2 and click on "coil-overs", and yes I know that the ground control doesnt come with struts, and the tokico does, but those arnt even that great of struts, get a set og kyb agx's(think thats how you spell it)

Whenever I suggest that people with 2Gs just cut a coil off each spring (instead of buy some low-end kit such as that based on Tokiko Blues), I get a bunch of crud from people who have never done it.

Well, I'm a primate, so I can learn, so I'll take a new approach this time. Have someone cut the perches off the stock shocks and re-weld them back on about an inch below where they were. Trim the bumpstops by the same amount. This will probably cost $100 (or nothing if you can do it yourself). It would be almost the same thing as the Tokiko Blue kit. Use the spare money to celebrate or to buy some RM swaybars.

Yeah I guess he could do that too, I would cut the stock springs and re-weld them before I got the Tokico's.

tokicos that bad?... i was thinking of getting the tokico illuminia and eibach pro kits set up..

I have heard somewhere though that KYB AGX's are not a good choice for 2g cars. What would be a good spring and strut combo for a good price.

That's a pretty cheap setup for just a drop with shocks. Skip that whole mess get the eibach pro-kit with illuminas and call it a day if you're on that tight uber-budget. Seen those on "track day" cars and the handling was still good enough. Just as long as you get time behind the wheel.

Tokiko Blues <> Tokiko Illuminas. The later are fine and work well with soft lowering springs, such as ProKits. There's nothing really wrong with the former, other than being close to a stock shock with pretty blue paint.
