Opinion on this Megan Racing Muffler

I have a full 3" Buschur exhaust, it's way to loud for the uptight cops in my area. The M-OE Turbo Muffler seems like the best bet for me, Megan Racing

Has anyone ever bought one

I have this muffler just laying around that I used for about 300 miles, then took it off because I got an awesome deal on a Thermal R&D. I could sell it for $125 shipped if you would like? Just lemme know.
But if you would rather go with the one that you linked, I am sure that would suit your needs just as well.

It's nice but I don't think it would look good on an eclipse just my 2 cents, my boy has this same one on his sti and it looks and sound sick, honestly this muffler is more for like hondas, get an apexi or an hks they look really nice on our cars, I have an apexi

That thing looks cheap no offense carbon fiber mufflers are wack unless they are hks

You may want t go with a Magnaflow 5 X 8 oval to get the noise level down. I just put a 3 in. turbo back, no cat, Espelir exhaust on and even with a 24 in resonator added it was still pretty loud. I don't think most of the straight through mufflers will quiet it down too much.

How was the noise level with and without the silencer when you had it?

And 2GRick, have you had any experience with the Magnaflow. I just don't want it to be too restrictive.

It may look cheap, but I was honestly impressed by the quality. Yet if I ever went this route in the future I would totally agree with you about goin with HKS.

As far as the sound level goes, I never used the silencer, because I was only running an apexi dp, and then it "bottle necked" back down to 2.5in. So it had a good sound, but wasn't really loud by any means. With a full 3in the results may be different. Megan states that the silencer reduces noise by 30%. I just remeber it had alot of bass (typical fart cannon style ).

One thing that I have to say that I didn't like about it, was that it looks quite small compared to other mufflers. Offers great ground clearance, but who worries bout that?

Dude nice try, I had that same muffler on my old 240 and paid $90 for it shipped new. Post it in the classifieds where it goes.

To the OP, I'd say get it and try it out. It looks very nice, and pretty OE to the untamed eye

I also like the idea of it looking stock to people that don't know the difference
I could also put the silencer in sometimes if I have to drive around at night which would help to keep a low profile.

And do you remember where you bought that muffler, they might have the M-OE for a good price too

yeah i just bought this muffler for 99.00 shipped from extremepsi.com. The quality looks great. I haven't installed it yet due to me rebuilding my whole exhaust, but I think it will perform and sound great.

I'll take a look, it was almost 2 years ago. Jamel16's price he got his for is pretty good though, I'd just go with that.

WOW I got ripped off then!!! I think I paid like $130 for it. O well...
