Only Low Horn Works?

I read that there are two horns in our cars, one under each headlight. It seems only my low horn is working (sounds like a dull foghorn). So if i were to upgrade this horn to something audible, which horn would i replace? (driver's side or passenger side)

Also, if only one of the horns work does that mean the high horn needs to be replaced or could it be in the wiring somewhere?

You've been mis-informed because there is only one horn and it sits behind the driver side headlight, it looks like a black snail.

There is another one up by the battery. I don't know if it works with the button on the steering wheel, or if it's just for the alarm maybe. I removed that small one by the battery and my horn sounds fine.

OP, maybe yours is just dying.

check the wires and plug and make sure its plugged in properly to sensor. if is trace wires make sure there is connection all the way...if all that is good, get a new horn

EDIT: I checked out the horn and the electrical connections look fine.

When i search for a replacement horn i found a low and high pitch one so u sure theres not 2?

I think i'll end up going to a pull-a-part or pep boys anyways but i just want to make sure i have my facts right

, yes I did. I actually just got my main horn working again last night with my Momo steering wheel. What a pain!

Ok, well it seems i am going to head to pepboys this weekend and pick up a horn that looks as close to stock as possible. Do i need to remove my bumper in order to get at the horn mounting bracket? It seemed to be pressed right up against it.

Suby owners wire these bad boys in out here in socal, I think its more for looks because they do it behind the front grill but they are loud!
