My clutch never grabs at the same spot and sometimes it will go to the floor and wont come back up, i have to pull it up with my foot. If I pump the clutch it works fine, so I pretty much have to double clutch. I cannot figure out whats wrong. I just changed the master cylinder and the fluid is full. I bleed it out numerous times so I know there is no air pockets. There is no fluid leaking out anywhere. The only thing i could think of is the slave cylinder being bad or possibly a bad (brand new) master cylinder. Could anyone help?

And if I push the clutch pedal in and then let it out until it is in the free play zone, not all the way out, and then push it back in, it wont get hard to push in until ferther down. If i do this a couple times it will go all the way to the floor without resistance and not come back up.

Could be the slave, i know you said you replaced the master and bled the system but have you actually properly adjusted your clutch pedal the right way to ensure proper fluid transfer from the master to the reservoir to the slave? There's a good video floating around you-tube and on this forum about it. Just a thought.

Yes I adjusted the clutch pedal but it really didnt do anything for my problem. It is still all over the place.

yes i looked at it but its not leaking. I dont this it has ever been changed so it has 136k on it. I will just go ahead and get a new one. its worth a try.

I bought brand new master and slave cylinders for the clutch and bleed the clutch numerous times by using the hose in a water bottle with fluid in it method. What's happening is if I push on my clutch slowly it will fall to the floor and stay they until I lift it back up. If I push hard and fast, the clutch works great. I adjusted the pedal correctly because I have been reading about this for months. What could be causing this???? Please help.

It's a 2g eclipse gst.

could be a few things, I would start by checking if there is any leaks in the lines, also the clutch fork. Did you notice anything odd before the problem arose?

Make sure to set the pedal adjust screw back out before bleeding the system . How old is the clutch fork and pivot ball? Check the wear in the clutch fork, road race engineering has a tech article on performing this.

Sounds like master issue.

Pivot ball is brand new as of 4 months ago. The fork had no signs of wear and there are no leaks. I've checked for leaks numerous times.
