Ok my mods:

JDM motor and trans, 2g ported manifold, K&N, Free mods, and boost gauge.

I dont think the line for my gauge is kinked or tangled b/c it reads vacume at about 18-20 in/ hg at idle and moves up quick when accelerating. However my max boost reading is only like 6 psi at 4,000rpm... this doesent seem right, I have a MBC but i havent installed it yet b/c i want to make sure my gauge is working right. I cant see any visible boost leaks such as broken vac lines and there is no hissing of escaping air around the engine bay.... plz help

Thanks

Probably either a clogged cat, boost leak, or fuxed up turbo.. *shrugs* Does it boost higher at all, just at higher rpms?

Well, the car seems to pull at least 10 psi but on the gauge as soon as hits 6-7 psi the needle stops dead, untill i get off the throttle.

Turbo has very very little shaft play, Im leaning more towards a plugged cat b/c this car has on the body and exhaust over 235,000 km.
(new motor, turbo and trans). How exactly do I preform a presurized boost leak test?

and I think the gauge is hooked up good b/c it reads a perfect vacume presure (18-20 at idle) and moves freely.

thanks

yeah make sure the arm on the wastegate actuator is still connected, mine would fall off once in a while and it would only make 7psi

Ok, where could the waste gate be leaking from?

And the motor and turbo in my car is a jdm and ive noticed that the WA is held onto the turbo by some cheap wire, however it is sterdy. There are two vacume lines coming out of the end of the WA that seem old one is routed back into the engine and the other was connected to the airbox ( which i took off) and caped the end of the vacume line.

I have another WA some where from my old turbo.

ALSO...............

-- PIC OF THE BCS--

1)The vacume line with the Green dot has been capped off b/c the outlet on the bcs was broken off when i got the car.

2)I also capped off the outlet.

Can this affect my car's preformance?

If your WG actuator is not hooked up to vacuum how do you expect it to work. Right now your WG has no pressure reference and the BCS(see boost control solenoid)is not able to open/close the WG. Either hook up your MBC and eliminate the need for the BCS or hook the BCS up correctly, this will solve your problem. Good Luck.
