90 eclipse fwd.

i got it already modded so im still trying to figure out whats really done to it.

it has a 3inch turbo back exhaust with an o2 housing.
a fmic... dunno what brand.
a greddy bov... recirculated.
boost and air fuel gauges.
it has the bcs restrictor removed.
k&n air filter.
greddy turbo timer.

it goes straight to 10 psi and holds solid... shouldnt it be more? no mbc but i thought with a good exhaust and the bcs mod it would be closer to 14-15psi.

it was an old gut that had it... he knew nothing about what was done to it... but he said he had to adjust the bov to keep it from spinning the tires so much???? i dunno what he was talking about... but i thought maybe he loosened it so that it leaks a little, so i tightened it about a full turn just to see and it still held 10psi.

anything i should check? kinda new to dsm's...

ill get a mbc sooner or later but i thought it would boost higher than this.

Yeah, you're going to need a MBC if you want to go above the factory wastegate spring's setting; which in this case is around 10 PSI.

Removing the BCS just keeps the ECU from controlling the boost. Exhaust mods affect spool up time, top end performance, among other things.

The BCS restrictor remioval does free up some boost. However to further elaborate on what was said: It will only free up to the wastegate preset pressure not above. That may be anywhere from 9 to 15lbs(rough range) it veries from car to car.

alright thanks guys... iv been looking/learning on the forum a long time. this was my first thread tho:cool:
