I have a 99 gsx with an evo III 16g turbo, walbaro fuel pump, 650cc injectors, dsm link, front mount intercooler, and fuel controller. Could i run 26 lb's of boost at the track with this setup? Or would you guys say to upgrade my internals?

I have run 25 on my FP on stock internals for short periods of time. Average boost for the summer was 22 psi. So I would say yes you are ok to do it with a good tune and no more than .7 degrees of knock.

Stock internals are good for about 400hp. Have you done a compression check lately? Never hurts to know that your motor is up to par. You can pick up the device and gauge at pretty much any auto-parts store for about $30. DSM.org has a pretty detailed "How To" section if needed.

Also, at that much boost, race gas wouldn't hurt ;)

I've seen daily drivers with more than 400hp on stock internals.

Thats why I said "about"...400 is the average number I hear for stock 4g63s, give or take. But every DSM is different, I was just giving a general estimate.

yeah for short periods of time i agree its ok, but hitting high boost numerous times throughout the day is bound to grenande something sooner or later.. when i had an almost identical setup my boost topped out at about 28psi, and i would spool it up till it got over 25 almost everyday i drove, till one day i pulled up next to a supercharged mustang(those ones that come stock ,not cobras, with all the fancy body kit etc) then my crank decided to take a shit on the highway

You will be okay at the track I wouldn't keep those settings for a everyday driving for long periods of time. I have seen low to mid 400 whp on my friends FWD on stock internals I'm not sure how long it will last but it is possible. Someone said race gas, I second that, someone else said compression check, I second that as well.

yeah its a manual car, i was just wondering what a great boost range would be for that car. So far i hear about 22 on average, and 26 wouldnt be a bad range every once in a while. Compression test is perfect too.

How much Crank HP do you think im pushing with my mods right now listed?

The only mustang that come supercharged from the factory are the 03-04 cobras. I think Steeda sold a aftermarket kit through the dealer for awile but thats pretty rare.

Like some said. Get some cams FP or HKS + Good tuning and you should be good with 25psi. Then get Studs for more boost and you can still use the stock motor.

Make sure your stock motor has good compression on all cylinders. If is good then you will be okay. Tuning is key.
