Oil sending Unit leak

I have a leak coming somwhere from the oil sending unit. I can't put my finger on to where it would be coming from. The motor has just been rebuilt. I used a new sending unit. Does the sending unit have a crush washer or a some type of gasket? Thanks for any help.

Not on the 2G, it just screws in... perhaps some teflon tape around the thread may help.

i just notice that i had a simular leak and crawled under there to look to see if mine leaking also and the freakin filter was loose.

The sender has tapered threads. Do not over-tighten, as it can crack the housing.
I prefer non-hardening Permatex to toilet tape.
