oil residue in engine bay...

So i do have pictures but do not have them up yet of my problem. I have a 97 gs-t and a small 16g turbo and there seems to be oil residue on the turbo and also on top of the spark plug cover next to the oil cap and next to the black piece where the cam gears are located. The oil seems like it is mixed with dirt and stuff and wondering if this is common. Please let me know what may be the problem. I will post pictures within the day.

sounds like you have an oil leak on your turbo oil feed line and your gasket on your oil filler cap is leaking.

also btw, there is oil leaking into 1 of my spark plugs

When was the last time you changed your valve cover gasket and spark plug seals?
