Oil Question

I have just a quick question, how many quarts of oil does my 2g GSX hold, and if i overfilled it is that bad? and also how many quarts of gear oil does my transmission hold?

And yes, too little or too much fluid is a bad thing. Otherwise the engineers would say add AT LEAST 3 quarts. Moving parts need lubrication, but they don't like to be drowned in oil.

4.5 - 4.9 quarts of oil for the motor. my car took 2.5 quarts of gear lube when it started pouring out the fill hole. good luck man.
