Do u mean the balance shaft that is behind the oilpump, if it is the same diameter as the front balance shaft bearing?

It depends on which bearing as well. The front bearings are a larger diameter than the rears.

ahh ok. well that may be it, you should only have one freeze plug and two bearings.

go to V-faq.com and under engine, there is a balance shaft walk through.

only two of the bearings need replaced/clocked. Two of them have holes in them which need blocked off. Just the front shaft bearings I believe.

you do this by pulling out the bearings, rotating them so that the oil holes in the bearings dont align with the holes in the block. thats what the new bearings are for.

you can get away with carefully pushing out the old bearings and clocking one of them and reusing it. then use the new one in your kit.

USE jb weld on the freeze plug, and i would ditch the rubber plug if thats what you got, get a metal freeze plug.
