Oil pump gasket????

Havr front case apart... just did balance shaft delete and putting back together... I have a whole bottem end gasket kit and dont see one for the oil pump...... does it use one? im not tlaking about the filter housing I have that gasket ...

For which part. If you read the VFAQ you'd know that there is a gasket for the filter housing and the front case to block. No gasket between the front case and pump cover.

You may also need a oil pickup gasket that isn't listed in the VFAQ. It looks like Tom left his attached to the pump but yours might not survive.

Yeah i looked over it and the chiltons manual... was just making sure before I bolted it all back up thanks

Try not to scratch it, in most cases a very good finish is better than any gasket, such is the case in many pumps and pipelines that use ceramic seals.

one more question does anyone know the torque specs on the pickup tube bolts and nut...
