I have a small oil leak coming from the switch which was probably damaged when I dropped the motor in. I was wondering if it would be possible to share one of the leads off of the pressure sending unit in order to provide the warning light indication? It seems the light switch is just a pressure switch so which polarity would it be using to complete the circuit? Probably the positive signal? I would just like to remove the switch and plug it.

Thanks,

The light switch grounds it's lead to turn the idiot light on.

You could plug the switch and run a remote line to a tee on the firewall. From their install the switch and sensor for oil psi
