Ok, I have an oil pressure question...Now that I have spun the oil pump sprocket and seen oil pressure... does that mean I can do an oil change and still have oil pressure in the system?

I already put my timing components back on and I don't want to take them off, however, I have an oil leak at the oil return for the turbo...so I need to drain the oil, fix the leak, and put oil back in. If I do that, will it mean that I need to prime the motor again?:banghead:

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Scott

I never prime it after that just fix the leak and your good, spun the oil pump, I just slapped mine in and I was good to go. Nothing else.

I'm sorry, but I don't completely understand your reply.

I went start my motor and had NO oil pressure. At that point, I took off the timing belt and spun the oil pump sprocket. I then replaced my timing belt. Now I need to drain the oil. I am wondering if I will need to re-prime the motor considering I am draining the oil completely out now...

I never primed my engine when I drain my oil, I guess im confused on your question does the car start now, do you have oil pressure now, maybe im confused on you having to prime it, now the did you fix the oil pump.

Thanks!... That's the answer I was looking for. I fixed the oil leak and re-timed the motor with a new belt. I have a few little items to complete and I will be starting the motor today.

I will reply with an update once that's done.

Thanks,
Scott
