My car is a 91 GVR4, mods are a 93 7bolt with 220k, fmic, exhaust, 255lph, fpr, fidanza flywheel, xtd stage 4 clutch. running 15psi.

Yesterday when driving home, I was making a left turn from a stop, My oil pressure shot up to 80(which is normal), but half way threw the turn it very quickly dropped down to 60psi, after the turn shot back up to 80psi.

This was the first time i noticed it, I tried to replicate and was only able to do it once more, The oil psi dropped 20 psi mid left turn again.

oil left is about half way between the two marks on the dipstick. Im thinking the oil is sloshing away from the pickup during left turn. But im also very paranoid about putting in a 7bolt into this car.

crankwalk? or problem with oil filter housing gasket or oil filter housing o-ring. im having a similar issue right now. have any oil leaks? any mods recently?

The last thing ive done were the brakes on all 4 corners, so thats not it, before that I did the oil pan gasket and turbo drain. Im still leaking from somewhere(dripping oil off xfer case). But I keep a pretty close eye on it.

Assuming you have an electrical pressure sensor check your connections (wiggle the wire while someone watches your gauge). Clean and re-seat the connections if necessary.

don't trust the dipstick unless you KNOW it's an OEM mitsu unit, idiot ricers put parts store sticks in all the time making for erroneous readings.

also try and run 1/2 qt over the full mark and see if it still does it (test this fast and in one day/session)

if still persists, drop the pan and inspect the pickup, maybe there's trash, bad/missin pan baffle, oil pump going out etc...
