I got a 93 gst that supposedly was rebuilt, had a bad turbo, had a bad clutch and a bad clutch pedal assembly... Got everything back together.. after replacing everything above, tie rod ends, control arms, and sway bar links.... Unfortunately when I went to pick it up from the shop I had an alignment done at they informed me there was an oil leak under it!!! I drove the car around over 200 miles before doing all the work besides the turbo with no bad oil leaks..... I think the jack ass that did the alignment joy rode my rebuilt baby, otherwise the sack of shit that sold me the car with all these problems had blown the gasket before hand... He was kind of a sketchy fellow.... After I bought the car he did say he blew the turbo by revving it up at the bar!! I'm thinking the head gasket is blown!! I also cracked the valve cover when trying to torque the head!! Head looks nice inside and everything looks new except covered in oil...

Sorry, I was wondering what all could cause oil on top of the transmission. I've never experienced a bad head gasket before..... Was wondering if anything else could cause oil on top of the transmission..... haven't noticed fluids mixed together just shooting out the tail pipe and in the engine bay... Just looking for some reassurance... Need to find my compression tester!! If it is a bad head gasket which gasket should I use and will arp head studs make a better seal??

While this is a little hard to look at ... the cam angle sensor o-ring is known to dry out, crack and create quite a mess. Also if you cracked your valve cover thats a good place to start along with a new valve cover gasket. Not saying it isn't the headgasket ... but there are a couple other places to check.

The compression was 120 across all 4 cylinders....... oil is all around the engine bay... looks like its leaking from the head gasket.. I added oil through the spark plug holes with same results!! Also I noticed when the PCV valve was disconnected the car ran like crap and there was a massive air leak..... My old 91 it wouldn't matter if the PCV was connected or not.... Is there a strange vacuum or boost issue here? Should the PCV hook directly into the intake??

It could also be a bad half moon that slipped out from a pressurized head, or your breather if you don't have a catch can setup or routed to intake.
