I have an oil leak problem in my 99 Eclipse 420A N/T with turbo. I cannot figure it out at all, I went to a place to get it checked out they told me my head was cracked, then i took it too another place and they placed a liquid in the oil to see under black light and it was coming out of my valve cover on one back corner of it. I have replaced my valve cover gasket 3 times trying to get it to seal but it still leaks oil. :banghead: When it has been running a small puddle will be under the car and when I layed into the gas it oil squirted onto my window. Now for the weird part, as much as it has leaked my oil is still completely full. Honestly I have no freaking clue what could be wrong other than maybe my valve cover is warped somehow. Please somebody help me with my problem bc it has been bugging me for a long time and also kept my dang car in the garage all summer long because i havent had the money to fix it or get it looked at right now. I am hoping to get it out next spring so can somebody let me know if they have experienced this problem or know what it might be so i can see. Thank you in advanced... :rocks:

Well that is unique but, the squirt on the windshield was probably from wind in the engine bay. There is no direct line from engine to windshield. As for the valve cover they can warp and crack. You could see if it is from somewhere else. start by cleaning everything so there is no oil on the engine, Try to get a mirrow on a stick from autozone or something, start the engine and dont drive it; Just let it idle (The wind will blow oil everywhere and you will never see where it is leaking) see if you can find a leak that way because if it is that much oil i would be surprised to see that much from the valve cover.

If there is that much pressure in your motor i would check to see if the pcv valve is stuck closed first. There should not be enough pressure in the engine to spray oil from the valve cover(it should only seep or trickle. Did you cap the hoses on the valve cover or any thing?
