So i went to get my oil changed and was told my oil pan was leaking. I was driving my car with 2 quarts of gas in it. There was oil all underneath my car, just everywhere. So i went to a mechanic close by and what he told me was that the head gasket needs to be replaced. but in doing that, other problems might arise. I really need some guidance in this area. I'm new to 420a's and i don't even know where to begin. Should i buy another motor and have the mechanic replace it? Should I replace the head gasket in hopes that no other problems arise? (he hasnt looked at it for very long but he said it could very likely be warped)

The 420a's were well known for oil leaking out of the driver's side of the head gasket.

Get it done ASAP if it is leaking that bad. Get the valve seals done too. Save you the headache of when they start leaking later. Might as well change out the water pump, timing belt, idler, tensioner, and hydraulic tensioner while you are there. All things that will need to be done and will be cheaper to have them done while the head is off.

Im no longer a 420A owner but I had issue's with the HG in the drivers rear side of the head on both my engine's. Seems like a common spot.
