My serpentine/drive belt was making squealing noises after having it replaced. I took it to the car wash and sprayed it with highpower soapy water(mechanic said to try it) and it fixed it for about a day. then today it did the squealing today and I jacked it up and discovered a oil leak with a little bit of coolant around some of the oil pan. I wiped it down and after i drove it a little its just oil around the oil pan which could be getting on to the belt?

I cant get any pics at the moment.
until tomorrow. Thanks

any slick or loose belt will squeal because its slipping. You can try and grab a can of belt dressing and try that but ive never heard of trying soapy water since soap is a lubricant of sorts. If oil or coolant or any fluid for that matter is getting on the belt, thats most likely your cause.

I tried belt dressing, it did not really help, I could try carburetor spray.
