hi i have a 98 eclipse gst and when i had the oil pan off i noticed that i dont have any oil jets, but i noticed them on my gsx when the engine was token apart, its a 6 bolt swap with bs delete. should there be oil jets on the gst or because of the balance shafts there isnt any, and when i had the pan off, i saw only one balance shaft, the other one thats hooked up with the oil pump was cut off, is that ok or should i get a balance shaft on there, thanks

Kind of having a hard time understanding your post, are you saying your gst has a 6 bolt swap or was it the gsx?

The oil jets in your 2G engine are located on the mains and point upward. You won't see them by looking in from the bottom of the engine. If you pull the head off and the piston out, you'll see this when you look down the bore from the top of the engine:

And whichever engine has a balance shaft delete will have a stub shaft connected to the oil pump. The left/front side may still have it's shaft, especially if the BS delete was done with the engine in the car.

ok so i was looking from under the car, and in the gst i have the stock 7 bolt engine with one balance shaft removed, on the gsx both are removed and i could see the oil jets, on the gst the balance shaft was cut off, i can see were someone had it cut off, should i get another balance shaft in the gst? is it going to vibrate messed up with only one bs in the engine. so the oil jets are different from the 6 bolts then the 7 bolts right?
