This weekend I got around to swapping out my turbo. I have a 1g with no exhaust and a 14b so i figured instead of spending any money i would swap the turbos so i can keep a street legal car. Well i was pulling off the LICP and when I did all the oil i thought i had burned up was suddenly all over my hand, arm and driveway .

Here are some pictures. How did this get this way?

did you ever figure anything out? I know that when its still a stock setup, that oil return line on the valve cover is routed back into the intake, throwing oil and who knows what into the intake track. I've seen oil caked in the intake pipe, intercooler pipes, and intercooler, but never enough to cause a spill like that..............

That'll happen, especially if the car has lots of miles on it and runs higher boost. More oil will blow through and end up in the IC. Quite possibly time to have that engine rebuilt. Time to do a compression test.

That has to be from the turbo seals, too much oil from blow by. Questions is why?
