Oil holes on the cap side of the main bearings???

I was assembling my motor and I put the crank bearings in (making sure the oil holes lined up) and since they did I just put the other bearings on the main caps. But an experienced engine builder (but not imports) was like "Why are there oil holes on the cap side of the main bearings? There shouldnt be any holes on that side" So did I get the wrong bearings? Or are there supposed to be holes there for some reason??? Thanks!

ps. They arent the same size/placed holes as on the block side.

I just went out to the garage to double check. My main crank bearings do not have any oil holes on the cap/cradle side. If you are talking about the rod bearings, however, both have an oil hole in the middle. Are these aftermarket or stock bearings? Mine are Mitsubishi.

My bearings are 10 under and are federal mogul... The picture on SBR's site shows the holes. but they use that same picture abunch of places . These are for a 6bolt too

I also have 6 bolt torn down in the garage, however, I am missing the old main cap bearings. I must not have got them back when I had the block and caps cleaned at the machine shop. I haven't bought the new bearings yet. Sorry I can't check that for you.

For what its worth, the rod bearings both have oil holes even though the rod caps have no holes to line up with. I would call SBR though, just to clear it up.
