Oil filter size across 1g-2g

Hello All

Just a small question, will the oil filter on a 7bolt motor (OEM filter) fit a 6bolt motor with a 1990 oil housing?

yes... matter of fact i run a oil filter from a 2005 EVO because they are smaller and leacve moe clearence
