I have a 15g turbo which will be goin into my 420a. This is my turbo Hahn Racecraft - Automotive Turbosystems.

I bought a 1/4npt to -4an fitting but it wont screw in to my oil inlet.
I went to loews to double check the size and its not 1/8 or 1/4. But a 1/4 flare did screw in perfectly. I need help. This is all im missing to complete the car.

i know but everyone says its -4an bla bla bla. And it got me confused ### on hahn it says 12mm x 1.5 for the 16g and the 15g everyone says they use -4an on the 16g so why wouldnt it work on mine.u know

It's either 12mm x 1.25, or 12mm x 1.5.

Why not take the turbo to a hardware store and try threading a bolt into it so you know what fitting you need and you're not wasting more time and money buying the incorrect fittings.

You're talking about two different things here.

The oil fitting on the head is 12mmx1.25 thread. This is the size of the end of the adapter that threads into the head. The hose size that this adapter needs to fit is -4an.

The adapter that you have you described as 1/4 NPT. This is a completely different thread than the needed 12mmx1.25.

So what you need is a 12mmx1.25 to -4an adapter, for the head at least. I know for the 14b and the 16g it is the same for the turbo oil fitting as well. I can't be sure that it is the same for a 15g although it would seem logical.

You can find what I am talking about here:

if the turbo is already mounted to the exhaust mani and on the car and you dont want to take it back off, then just buy the couple different fittings it could be, then when you find the right one, you can take the others back. If the turbo's not mounted i agree just to take the turbo in and test fit.
