Well i was driving to work from lunch at about 80mph. I was driving the car pretty hard. I got to a red light and i pressed the brakes and the pedal sank to the floor i barely stopped in time. Then i noticed smoke coming from my left tire (from the driver's position). I pulled over right after that. I looked at my tire and there was oil all over the tire caliper and brakes. I did a gsx brake upgrade the prior week. So I assumed I messed something up. I opened the brake fluid reservoir and it was full. So it is not the brakes. When I press the brake pedal it is firm and does not sink to the ground anymore.

I opened the hood and the whole right side of my engine bay was covered in oil, the tranny, battery intake everything. I looked over everything I could not find the location of the leak.

I checked everything. Clutch fluid is full, power steering fluid is full, Tranny Is covered in oil. I inspected it from above and below there are no signs of damage. I opened the cap and oil came out. Crap so it's not the tranny.

My car is turbo'd and I did all the work myself. I checked the oil dipstick and it looked fine it was in the recommended range. I figured the next thing would be the oil feed line. I checked in the back of the block everything is dry over there.

The only thing I can think of is. I have my breather open. Could oil in these large amounts come out of the breather?
There was no sound no noticeable loss of power when this happened.

This is a example of where it happend( This is not the actual pic)

I have had this happen twice, yes I said twice and both times I have melted a piston which causes the compression to go into the crankcase and blow the oil out the breather filter. Could just be a ring since you've said not much power loss, bc mine was significant loss. Quick way to find out is do a compression test, I bet you you are low on number 1

Do a compression test, find out which cylinders have cracked ringlands etc :notgood:

I just turned on the engine and it idles fine, no weird noises. and i ran a compression test i got 180 on all 4. before i turbod it i had 200 on all 4.

im still thinking its the pcv/breather. im gonna wash the engine bay and make a catch can and ill go for a small drive to see what happens.

Well think about it when the car hood is closed, that breather valve has nothing on it, I bet thats it right there...especially if your pushing in the gas getting up to 80mph

I recommend a catch can in any system, why not put one in...are they too expensive to make or purchase? Got any pics of your setup? I'm curious if you may be pressurizing the crankcase or somethin...
