What's up guys.. Happy st.patricks day... I need some help, and I'm turning to my #1 resolution center for help.
I'm finishing up my 6 bolt swap/ rebuild on my 2g. Just got done priming the motor (using a handpump on the OFH method, still haven't primed by cranking), and I came to the realization that I don't have a dipstick. I went out and got a universal dipstick from my local auto parts store, to atleast start the break in process. My question is.. Can anyone tell me the distance between the stopper on the dipstick and the bottom of the dipstick? I'm plannin on adjusting this adjustable to whatever the length is atleast until I order an oem on if neccesary.
My one and only issue with ordering an oem dipstick is just the time it'll take to get here. I wouldn't see it till midle of next week, and after my car being down for 3 years, I feel like those few days are going to kill me if I wait..
.. I assume something like this can be resolved fairly simple, with the correct measurment. I know another of my options is to put 5qts (although I know its not what the car calls for, it'll atleast give me a close enough idea) and adjust the dipstick till it reads full. But if possible, I'd like to get a measurment, atleast so I can be in the ballpark. Thanks guys
P.s. The actual block is from a 90.. Body's a 98.. Just in case
