After some hot weather in California I am looking to make my cooking more efficient.

Mods; e3 16g, fp mani with blanket, o2 housing coated, ets street fmic, and other supporting mods

Current setup; original radiator(have tried to flush it out) only running Ac fan always on with ecmlink.

Future setup thoughts?
Either getting a new radiator and have a shroud for it, or get an Evo 3 ofh and oil cooler.

Car is my DD and occasionally will see canyon runs/auto x

I've tried new t stats, running distilled water and water wetter, and nothing seemed to really help.

**and if you're wondering why I am running one fan it's because my other one melted when I put my 16g on and didn't have a blanket on manifold.

Any input would be great, also have considered cutting holes in the front bumper so more air can hit the radiator!

Kayo radiator 3inch aluminum and seal up your radiator and intercooler so no air can escape or just mount it flush with the hood latch support.

Not sure how I can accomplish that since the fmic is located below the crash beam
The same way everyone else manages to do it! Make it custom fit your application! Everyone does it just fine! So can you,

A 3 row alloy rad would be good, a good oil gooler would keep oil temps down aswell or just run thicker oils to the heat temps where you are as im sure you can run a 20/60 out there or 20/50.

The fans are a must and if your running 1 then make sure its just the oem fan, you can try grab 2 AC fans as thats metal cased and they are thinner and great for flow!

But 100% make your own ducting for the intercooler/rad, no matter where or how it is it can be done but you need to customize it to your setup

Make some custom brakets to mount it properly becouse if the air flows threw the intercooler and then on the ground you dont get any air flow. If you dont want to make brakets then use sheet metal that very thin and go around the intercooler. On my first car i used gorilla tape to cover the holes and it work perfectly.

Get a Mishimoto dual core and two FAL fans. Install the fans as pushers so they are sandwiched between your FMIC and radiator. I ran my car like this and actually had problems heating up my car and the fans are on at all times ran through ECMLink. I use two ebay fans which don't push as well as the FAL fans. They actually had to shut the dyno fans off on the because the tuner was having an issue tuning the car as it would not warm up. I did have a colder thermostat in there which I replaced with an oem after that incident.

I drove the car in Chicago when it was 100 degrees in stop and go traffic. That was the only time I ever saw the car get up near 220* but never went above it.

Man all this advice about custom shrouds and airflow methods is nonsense. You shouldn't be overheating while moving, period. If you are having trouble cooling the car while moving then you have a fan problem, coolant problem, or radiator problem. Yes even with a big FMIC and condenser.

If you are having trouble cooling the car at idle or traffic situations then you need a sufficient CFM out of a good fan(s). OEM is great but if you can't fit it then SPAL slimfans are some of the best fans you can get.

Evo 9 OFH + air to oil cooler.

I did 3 20 minutes sessions at Thunderhill and never went above 196 looking at my logs. I have a fmic, stock fans, stock rad, stock t-stat, 50/50 coolant from Walmart, AC, and no ducting.

Wire a hard switch to turn fans on when you are in traffic.
