I started getting partial throttle knock after I blocked off the EGR no matter how much fuel I dumped in or took out. Check to see if your EGR is functioning properly. Make sure your timing is 4* - 5* . Ground the timing advance, disconnect anything in the diagnostic port, turn all accessories off, make sure radiator fans are off, THEN set your ign timing.

i think i maput more 101 in the tank and reduce base timing until the car almost stalls. this should tell me if it is real knock. i have a mix of <1 gallon 87 and 5 gallons 101 in the tank currently and 5-7 deg base timing. I really dont believe this is the problem but i dont know what else to check. EGR is still installed. All shakes and shimmies have been addressed, no boost leaks upt to ~40psi, engine mounts good (swapped out front to see if there was any change .. no-change).

can old / incorrect plugs be the problem?
i pretty sure they are bcp6es but i am going to double check today.

changed plugs to 7's / changed oil (hoping to eliminate any lifter tick) / checked the connection on the knock sensor (even unpluged it for a short log) / Stared at the underbody, engine bay, wheels, suspension, motor mounts and pretty much every inch of under hood realestate and found nothing out of order .

still getting off boost knock....
seems to start at about 2100-2500 until 3000rpms but isnt constant
ill post the logs soon

AHHH, looks like the infamous 4g63 phantom knock. Usualy caused by irregular vibrations that are normal in the motor. THe car picks these vibrations up as knock then pulls timing. the only way that I know how to get rid of this is with DSMLINK. please correct me if im way off.
