Oem seats from other cars

After looking at some of the prices for seats on Ebay, I think I'm going to start selling seats I get from the local pull and pay. I just grabbed a set of RSX seats for my upcoming resto mod on my 1g for $50 and they are mint.

When I originally installed these seats I followed a write up that utilized angle brackets that are NOT safe by any means. I do suggest buying a set of sparco seat brackets to mount the seats to. Only problem is they are a little expensive ($150 a side). But that is the easiest and most safe way to retro these seats into the car.

Did you have to drill new holes on the rails? If you have install pics, I wouldn't mind seeing them. I want to go that route for at least one of my DSMs.

Solid!!! I just found some Mint SRT4 seats at the yard. If they're as you say swap the rail and bolt on. I'll also post pics of the results.

I did not take pictures, is more of custom and cutting the rail, I did cut the plastic cover and make new holes on the srt4 seat base, note that I did not use any of the srt4 sliders or reclining stuff

Just went through this entire thread and I have to say rsx seats are the best looking on a 2g. They look factory because it matches the interior so well. The srt4's back rest is too chunky for me.

The only thing for the RSX seats is I hear the leather on them doesn't last (very thin) and they are also quite heavy (and have air bags and heaters in them) whereas the SRT4 seats have some cloth to take abuse of daily use. I guess they may be good if you want to have heated seats. They do look good though and are comfortable.

Yeah. I'm here at the moment. I put the "Dodge Neon SXT" in for a fitment. It's almost a bolt on, but the front brackets are off by a bit. Gonna need to cut and weld to make it fit.

So after removing both brackets yesterday to see how close stock brackets would be to bolt onto the NXT seats. I am gonna use the OEM brackets from SXT seats and get those welded and extend them so they could bolt onto the the DSM base in the car.

I'll get pics when I do it.

For anyone who likes the RSX seats but doesn't want leather, the Civic Si EP3 seats are virtually identical and can be found pretty reasonably.

I have EVO seats in my 1G, I bought them with brackets that were already modified to bolt in. Turned out they wouldn't clear my rollbar so I ended up using my old brackets from the Corbeaus that were in there. I still have the modded EVO brackets if any 1G guys could use them.

I've got a pair of Evo 8 recaros in my 2g. I used the rails from the Evo but I had to get a new bracket for them to fit.
