Lasalle,
Does anyone make any headlight replacements thats are glass but still OEM looking so I can install a HID kit?

I've seen a lot of people just install the kit with the plastic... risky, but I've never seen a glass replacement. I don't think you'd want glass anyway... too much of a chance of it breaking.

You don't need glass lenses to run an HID kit, since HID capsules actually create less heat than halogen bulbs. I've had both a plugin HID kit and a complete retro'd setup (projectors/ballasts/capsules) and plastic lenses have held up to both.

I was also concerned with the clarity. when the light hits plastic it severly deceases the light it puts out. It just looks much cleaner/sharper through a glass lens.

If you have a 92 then chances are you need to look up the lens polishing article. New age plastics have been able to withstand the rigors of the elements for years now.. hense no glass.

Polish the lens, you will not have any problems with them melting. Make sue you put proper HID projectors in the housing though.
